provides for the joinder of charges. Charge-sheets or indictments may contain charges for related offences, whether against the same accused or different accused and, if more than one offence is charged in a charge-sheet or indictment, the particulars of each offence charged must be set out in a separate, consecutively- numbered paragraph. Clause 56(3) provides that a separate charge-sheet (in the Magistrates' Court) must be filed against each accused. However, the charge-sheet may allege that the accused committed the offence with another person. An indictment may name (and charge) more than one accused in the one charge.
