Clause 56

provides that if a charge-sheet contains more than one charge or names more than one accused (whether in the same charge or separate charges), the charge or charges must be heard together. This is subject to the power of the court to order a separate hearing in accordance with clause 58. A charge-sheet may allege that accused A committed an offence with accused B, however, a separate charge-sheet must still be filed against each accused.
