Clause 211

sets out the time limit for commencing a trial for offences other than sexual offences. Such a trial must commence—
within 12 months after committal for trial; or
if no committal proceeding is held, within 12 months of the filing of the indictment; or
if the Court of Appeal orders a new trial, within 6 months after the day on which the order is made; or
any extensions of these time limits provided under clause 247.
