Clause 215

describes what an arraignment is, namely when the court—

asks the accused whether he or she is the person named on the indictment; and

reads out each charge on the indictment and asks the accused whether he or she pleads guilty or not guilty to the charge.

It also confirms that an accused may be arraigned and re- arraigned at any time.
