Clause 22

provides that notice to appear lapses unless the charge-sheet is filed within 14 days together with a copy of the notice to appear and evidence of service. Failure to file a charge-sheet within the 14 days does not prevent an informant from filing a charge-sheet at any later time, subject to the usual limitation periods.
