Clause 287

allows the DPP to appeal to the Court of Appeal against a sentence imposed by an originating court if the DPP—
considers that there is an error in the sentence imposed and that a different sentence should be imposed; and
is satisfied that an appeal should be brought in the public interest.
Originating court is defined in clause 3 and includes reference to original jurisdiction, which is also defined in clause 3.
