Clause 288

sets out how an appeal is commenced, namely by filing a notice of application for leave to appeal within 28 days of sentencing by the County Court. A copy of the notice of appeal must be served personally on the respondent within 7 days after the notice was filed and the DPP must provide a copy of the notice to the respondent's legal practitioner if able to be identified.
