provides that the accused may apply in writing to the DPP for the DPP to issue written directions for the return of property which was tendered in evidence during a committal proceeding. Release of property under this clause may be subject to a condition that it must be produced at trial. The DPP may also impose any other conditions the DPP thinks fit. The clause enables the DPP to require a person to whom property is released under this clause to give an undertaking to comply with the condition to which release is subject. The clause creates an offence of failing, without reasonable cause, to comply with an undertaking.
