provides an exception to the hearsay rule for certain previous representations in business records. The exception will apply only if the representation was made or recorded in the course of or for the purposes of a business and was made by a person who had or might reasonably be supposed to have had personal knowledge of the fact asserted by the representation or was made on the basis of information supplied (directly or indirectly) by a person who might reasonably be supposed to have or have had such knowledge. A further exception is provided for evidence that tends to prove that there is no record in a business record keeping system of the happening of an event normally recorded in the system.
