Clause 162

provides that, unless evidence sufficient to raise doubt is adduced, it is presumed that a document purporting to contain a record of a message transmitted by lettergram or telegram was received by the person to whom it was addressed 24 hours after the message was delivered to a post office for transmission. This presumption does not apply in a proceeding between all parties to a contract in relation to the contract if the presumption is inconsistent with a term of that contract.
