Clause 55

sets out what is relevant evidence. Under the clause, evidence is relevant if it could rationally affect (whether directly or indirectly) the assessment of the probability of the existence of a fact in issue. The clause makes it clear that evidence is not to be deemed irrelevant (and hence inadmissible under clause 56) because it relates only to the credibility of a witness, the admissibility of other evidence or a failure to adduce evidence.
