21C Engaging in conduct to hinder or obstruct persons attending religious assembly
(1)A person must not, without lawful excuse, engage in conduct that the person intends will hinder or obstruct a person from—Penalty: 15 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months.
(a)arriving at a place to attend a meeting of persons assembled for religious worship; or
(b)attending such a meeting; or
(c)leaving such a place during or following such a meeting.
(2)In a proceeding for an offence against subsection
(1), it is not necessary for the prosecution to prove that a person was hindered or obstructed from doing a thing referred to in subsection (1)(a), (b) or (c).
(3)A reference in subsection (1) to a person arriving at a place to attend a meeting referred to in that subsection includes a person arriving at that place before the meeting has commenced or before any other persons have assembled.
