21A Assaulting person attending religious assembly

(1)A person must not, without lawful excuse, assault a person—Penalty: 15 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months.
(a)arriving at a place to attend a meeting of persons assembled for religious worship; or
(b)attending such a meeting; or
(c)leaving such a place during or following such a meeting.
(2)A reference in subsection (1) to a person arriving at a place to attend a meeting referred to in that subsection includes a person arriving at that place before the meeting has commenced or before any other persons have assembled.
