123 No cross-examination in certain proceedings

(1)This section applies to a proceeding that relates (wholly or partly) to a charge for—
S. 123(1) substituted by Nos 38/2022 s. 67, 5/2025 s. 11(2).
(a)a sexual offence; or
(c)an offence against section 21A(1) of the Crimes Act 1958 (stalking).
(2)Despite anything to the contrary in this Part, the Magistrates' Court must not grant leave to cross-examine any witness in a proceeding to which this section applies.
